Of Sweaty Palms, Fever & Flu

Reading Time: 3 minutes

I guess I should occasionally write in English at this blog, just to make it a bit more personal. To rant in Bahasa Malaysia is just so wrong, awkward and sometimes you can be too emotional doing it. Ranting in English is better because you’re not use to write or even converse in that language (now tell who speaks English in mother Russia? ) thus there’s this formality to be observed since you’re not used to it and of course, grammar. I’ll write like a school boy, so please bare with this boring piece.

I have been suffering from this sweaty palm syndrome for as long as I could remember. One word for it, annoying. It’s not just my palms, my foot sole as well. I even have a cloth dedicated for me to wipe my hands for like every 5 minutes. Typing on my Macbook can be troublesome as I need to clean the keyboard every week. It gets worse when I’m in a warm room or when my mind is doing lots of thinking especially when I’m doing my drawing assignments. I’d just smear my drawing and most of the time I have to do it over again. That’s why I love doing those drawing assignments using the computer instead of manually by hand.

My girlfriend told me that Botox treatment would solve this problem (some of her friends had done it already). I’m skeptical but I’m willing to give it a try. Don’t know about the cost thought, but I guess I could still afford it. Botox eh? Sounds so old and gay already.

Do you know that you are more prone to catching fever and flu when living in places with extreme weather condition like Moscow? The weather goes haywire here, especially during autumn. The temperature can get from as high as 10 degree Celcius during the day and drop to -5 at night, with heavy rain and sometimes snow in the same day. Mother nature simply loves to put your body up to the test with all those drastic changes in weather and usually my body will be affected badly by it. I’ve been trying to jack up my anti-body by taking vitamins and supplements but in the end I’m still having this fever and flu. This is the second time I’m sick since I arrived here.

Autumn is beautiful but spells fever for me

There’s no end to this. Although I’ve been living here for the past four years, I’ll still be sick come winter. I just don’t get it. My body should’ve adapt to the weather already but it seems that nothing has changed.

It is said that this year’s winter in Russia is going to be the worst in 1000 years or so, and I don’t know how worse more can it be. I guess this year the Russians sinned more than past years that God just had enough with them. Starting with the blazing heat over summer that causes wildfire everywhere and now this so called worst winter ever, maybe God just hates this land. I don’t know. Or maybe it’s just a sign doom’s day is around the corner? I know it’s near, just that is this the sign that it’s nearer? ah.. how near is that? Anyway, if it is (but it is!), then I should get married fast and get laid. Don’t wanna die a virgin. haha!

I should go to sleep now as I’m beginning to mumble.. My girlfriend hates it when I mumble (siapa suruh tak jaga makan dan tidur? I mumble la kalau macam tu). Maybe I’ll skip classes again tomorrow. Didn’t go to class today either. Taking advantage eeh? Take care guys! See you when I see you.

i have hyperhidrosis too. Tapi tak de la sampai basah tangan. Cuma kuat dan cepat berpeluh dan tak boleh pakai pakaian yang ketat-ketat. Nak lilit tudung pun tak boleh.

Badan saya tak besar, kurus saja. Pernah badan naik sikit tapi peluh sentiasa. Tak tahan, rela berat badan ringan seperti sedia kala. Janji tak berpeluh.

Sorry i comment in bahasa. So long no use English, feel awkard.

By the way, how i can trace ur old entries? No archieve anymore?

pls ignore my grammar and i lack of vocab.

    hi,
I’m also like u.Since child,I’ve wet palm and feet but getting worst when reach adulthood…the sweat in my palm can be dripping like water.I feel very embarrass. It does affect my social activity and paperworks because some of my friend will tease and laugh at me.Therefore,I know how you feel. I don’t wanna go for medicine or surgery because scare of side effect. I’m looking for more natural methods.I did take supplements but not so effective.Recently,my friend has introduced to me a healthy clothes product which require only wearing them just like clothes.Wear these clothes anywhere, anytime…Easy as ABC.Since I’ve wasted a lot of money to buy supplements but can’t see much improvement. There are a lot of testimonials about these anion clothes (can cure asthma, hyperthyroidism, numbness, diabetes, cancer etc-too good to be true). So I decided to give these products a try.I’ve spent about Rm 3.5k.I need to wear them and follow the care instructions to wash them. Can last for 5 years…so it’s like RM3500/5years/12months/30 days=RM1.95 per day. It’s cheaper compared to supplements and surgery.More important is they are safe.I’ve trying for almost a week already.I can the the effect. My palm and feet less sweaty nowaday.I’m so happy that I wanna share with you.
I’m not trying to do business here.I’m just trying to help.If you wanna to know more about these products, please let me know.

hello ariff, been a silent reader all these while,
it is called hyperhydrosis. ada medical treatment for it, bleh guna botox & some other things. but usually docs akan suruh pakai deodorant powder kat tangan before using botox. usually docs akan assess the situation first before coming down to botox.
i used to have that but masa tu ikut musim worse in summer & kalau balik cuti kat m’sia. like u, peluh kat tangan + tapak kaki, tapi kat badan tak. pernah jalan2 sampai terjatuh coz licin kaki yg pakai selipar tu. driving pon kena pakai steering cover or gloves coz licin sangat. then now dah makin tua makin kurang. seb baik tak sampai kena guna botox (saving that for later other sites :P )

some botox could solve it. or minor operation.

My husband been having that same ‘problem’..
Always complaining on the ‘sweaty thingy'(palms&feets)and to tell ya the truth,he refused me to held his hand(until now pun..sometimes!)because of that.
    Segan katanya..”My hand sweating…”
Never been a problem pun to me.
Pity him..sometimes.Always have to be extra cautious.
But one thing or could i say an advantage to me..as his ‘so called problem’ does help me alot(in a way)to understand my husband(behaviour)better(and easier!)^_^

    Best quote of the day.
“then I should get married fast and get laid. Don’t wanna die a virgin. haha!”

Yep.. I told you on Facebook, a friend of mine had the same problem and he got married. Then later, his problem solved. You should try it out. Maybe some hormone something in your body changes after the “xxx” effect. That could have save you from a “gayish” BOTOX solution.

I’m imagining a botoxed face. Stretched like plastic, no wrinkles. Cuz a botoxed face can’t move their eyebrows LOL. Static. Now what would happen to a botoxed palms? Can you still grab or move your fingers?

i had it too. its called hyperhidrosis. botox can only solve this problem for some times then u need to use it again. but an operation can give a permanent solution. but quite costly, its around RM 8k-12k. poor us. hahaha.

your words are bombastic but your sentences are quite like a school boy.. :D
you can do sympathectomy for that, they do it here at my place. My sister is going to do that too, still survey the price. I know a doctor who usually do that, seems like it’s under orthopedic department, not neurology. Doing a botox? Hmm… never heard of that, what is botox anyway? haha..

im afraid u are having a hormonal imbalance. or sort of cardiovascular problem. check this out
    http://symptoms.webmd.com/default.htm?rdserver=www.symptom.webmd.com
it might help u. get well soon

    1. Azah Avatar

It’s not hormonal imbalance since he’d been experiencing it since kid (if i’m not mistaken la). Don’t scare him with CVS problem, it’s normal for people to have hyperhidrosis. Even two out of five of my sibling are having this kind of thing. Just do brachial sympathectomy for the sweaty palms to stop it. Current success rate is approximately at 97% if I’m not mistaken.

      :D

i used to have those sweaty palms too..but it stop about 1 year ago. Didn’t know how it get rid, but maybe there something about the way we eat? I much more relieved now..as i can shake people hands without feel embarrased, and less odour for my socks.

and hey, get well soon =)
