This article is targeted to those who write niche blogs and blogs that are using serious/formal tone in their writings.
1. Watch that grammar!
To clearly convey a message and to show that you qualify to talk with wisdom and confidence require you to be almost perfect, that means even minor grammatical error would affect your reputation. The world is a cruel place, everybody judges! Being knowledgeable is already not enough nowadays, you have to be able to portray that you are knowledgeable.
If you realize that you have some problems with English grammar, then by all means get yourselves an editor. Tell you what, I can help you guys out if you ever need me to edit something or whatever at no charge (seriously!). I’m pretty confident with my English (but NOT perfect) and you can judge for yourselves from the articles that I wrote before.
2. Typo
Usually I take at least an hour to come out with a brand new article and I spend at lest 10-15 minutes re-reading what I wrote to rectify any errors and typos. Always refer to the dictionary for spelling or just Google it. Google will suggest you the correct spelling.
3. Not too general
Writing on a topic but making it too general really proves that you don’t really know what you are trying to say. Do some research, get some in-depth information before you start. A good place to start for research is Ezine Articles, literally thousands of articles available. Heck, you can even copy and paste the articles without any problems.
4. Not too specific
There are always limit on everything. Remember, you are not submitting a thesis for your Doctorate. You are writing a mere article for your blog. Write something that suites your readers not your IQ or emotion.
Writing a niche blog in English is challenging because once you declare that you want to create a niche blog, people won’t lower their expectations on you anymore. You have to work hard and live up to their expectations.

There are other things that help too. As an example, I like it when other blogs or websites are referenced in the post. I love reading a great blog post inspired by another great blog post, and usually read both.
I see. Thanks. That’s a great input. It has been quite a while since I’ve written any posts in English. Should write something soon.
