Been playing online golf since last month at World Golf Tour. Recently I also got invited to play in Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online beta test 4. Here are my reviews.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour
The game play is very fast compared to WGT. The game is quite easy, managed to finish an 8-hole stroke play without going through the tutorial.
The bad: Too easy. Even a kid could play well here. It's after all the continuation of its' prevous version on Playstation. Putting sometimes require power on the power gauge even within 1 feet away from the hole, which is very wrong.
The good: Fun factor. If you're looking for some casual online golfing without sacrificing too much time, this one is the best.
World Golf Tour
This site features more serious golfing, somewhat realistic and accurate. They organize monthly competition but sometimes only players from certain countries could participate or win prizes. Be prepared to spend at least half an hour if you're gonna play an 8-hole stroke game.
The bad: Small selection of golf courses for stroke games. 2
The good: Realistic. If you really want to get into an intense and challenging golf environment, this is the best site for you.
